Carved from a beautiful dark New Zealand Marsden pounamu, with a touch of flower coming through at the tip of the wing. The eyes using the flowery crust of the same type of stone. Held up to the light you’ll see a gooey glow to the edges of the stone.
The Ruru is the native owl of New Zealand, and I’m lucky enough to often hear them in my backyard at night. Beautiful, swift hunters.
Measures 60mm high and 33mm wide. About 12mm thick.
