This toki is carved from a creamy kokopu out of the “top of the south” region (Nelson/Tasman, New Zealand). Featuring a clear olive green band and also the yellow outer crust at the top of the piece. This stone carves like a dream.

In the style of a toki or adze, a cornerstone tool to Maori and other cultures across the world. To me it represents the importance of stone tools to humankind, a symbol of strength, perseverance and creativity.

Can be worn either side forward, as to personal preference. 

Measures 110x25mm, 8mm thick

Comes on an adjustable handplaited cord.
